Welcome to the home of Lakeshore Yacht Club, a self-help yacht club (sail & power) in the west end of Toronto.

Founded in 1991, we are home to approximately 180 boats. Our facilities were built entirely through the sweat equity of our members. Today, the Club still maintains those principles. We have no paid staff; all activities are run through the financial and work-hour contributions of our people. This allows us to keep our fees low while fostering a genuine camaraderie. Everyone contributes, and everyone benefits.

Examples of this include our BBQ pit, which houses five gas grills in a weather-proof enclosure; our Clubhouse has a Great Room, where up to one hundred may gather, and a full kitchen, open for the use of all members and visitors. As we have no restaurant or bar selling food or drink, this allows for the consumption of members' own food and beverages, again keeping costs low. Of course, the requisite bathroom, shower and laundry facilities are also available on-site.

Visiting members of yacht clubs with reciprocal privileges are asked to call in on Channel 68 when approaching the Club, to ascertain slip availability. Should no reply be received, please tie up at our Visitors' Dock, pending contact with a member who can sign you in and issue you with a fob to access both the clubhouse and the docks (which are separated by a public walkway). Please note that there is no assured security for boats tied up at the Visitors' Dock, as it is adjacent to the public walkway. We recommend very strongly that, if you must leave your boat tied up there for any length of time, that it be fully locked.
